People need God’s intervening touch in their lives. All sorts of things have been tried to construct a metaphorical tower high enough to ascertain what only Jesus can share, truth of our Father’s love. Literature, human reason, philosophy, cultural revolutions and even legislators have all tried in vain to find out and fill the deepest need in the human heart.
When the time was just right, Jesus came to our struggling, self-centered, definitely not-perfect world to show us the Father–our deepest need. Jesus declared that He is the way, the truth and the life. Then added that no one comes to the Father “but by Me.”
A thinking person wonders about the meaning of life. Does God care about me? This search is often the breakthrough Jesus needs to bring them to the Father. Instinctively people understand there must be something more than this world has to offer. They question, “have I been told the truth about God?” Many reach to heaven to grasp a blessing they hope is there. Is today JUST RIGHT for Jesus to show us the Father? I pray it is. The truth that our Father loves us resonates, heals, answers questions and brings peace. I pray we see the Father like crazy today, and that what we see becomes a permanent fixture in the pages of our minds.
