Holy Spirit, who came upon Jesus as a dove,
Fill us with His attribute of love.
You’re the Dove so pure and white,
Bring joy to our hearts, and make us right.
Come upon us with wings of peace,
Cause all quarrels and strife to cease.
Look upon us with patience kind,
Impart goodness to each mind.
Rest on us, as You did with Jesus,
‘Till faithfulness and gentleness fill us.
Linger each day, staying near,
Teach us self-control, so dear.
Thank You, Sweet Dove, for Your ways,
May our response be a life of praise!
