That is the All-Important Question!

The story Jesus told His disciples on the Mount of Olives long ago,
Was of ten virgins looking forward to celebrating a wedding.
They wore their best dresses and took bright lamps with them.
And chatted excitedly with each other to pass the time while waiting.
But time kept going by; and so much time went by in fact
That they begin to get tired; one by one they dropped off to sleep.
They awoke with a start, hearts beating fast, when they heard the cry,
“The Bridegroom cometh!” and they got up with a leap.
Their lamps had gone out and they fumbled in the dark.
Five had extra oil and soon their lamps were burning bright.
Five had no oil and begged for a share from their companions,
But, at last, they could not spare any oil in the middle of the night!
“Go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves,” they said.
With hurried steps they ran off in the night to search for oil to buy.
The five with bright lamps and happy songs joined the wedding party.
The five late-comers weren’t allowed in and couldn’t understand why.
“Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour
When the Son of Man cometh,” is what Jesus said.
When the cry is heard, “The Bridegroom Cometh, go ye out to meet Him.”
All who have extra oil (the oil of the Holy Spirit) are most definitely ahead!
