When our world was dark and void, God wasn’t.
Before the stars shone brightly, God was.
Before the birds began to sing, God heard.
When Adam was still in clay form, God-breathed.

Years before I was born, God thought of me. Before our country was founded, God existed. When our world is chaotic and bad, God isn’t. When we get to heaven, God’s been there forever. |
GOD says, “I Am the Alpha and Omega, The beginning and the end.”
When I was in my mother’s womb, God saw me.
When I am weak and discouraged, God’s strong.
Before I wrote these words, God knew them.
When things make me rattled and crazy, God is calm.

In the beginning God created the heavens and earth. As life begins, God gives each one a measure of faith. When eternity begins, God says “Welcome home child.” No matter what beginning you think of, God is there! |
