I saw this analogy on the internet recently and thought it spoke volumes of truth:
And Jesus came and spoke unto them saying, “ALL power is given unto ME in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 27:18
Okay, so let’s do the math, shall we?
In simple math terms since Jesus has ALL POWER (100%), we then have NO POWER (0%).
Therefore, the power to repent, have faith, keep HIS commandments, live a holy life and bear fruit to HIS GLORY must–absolutely MUS—come from JESUS.
There is no where else to get power from. Jesus has it ALL!
Thus, to help us understand, Jesus said, “Without Me, you can do nothing.”John 15:5
