You will be happy when you give to the poor,
Because God will deliver you in times of trouble.
Not only that but God will preserve you alive,
And your enemies cannot make you stumble.
When sickness comes, God will strengthen you;
All languishing stops because you are now well.
God will graciously forgive your sin for the asking,
Giving you righteousness, then forgetting you fell.
Happy are you when you share with others,
For it is more blessed to give than to receive.
“Cast your bread upon the waters,” it is said,
It will return again and blessings to you will cleave.
Keep the treasures God bestows for yourself,
And they cannot shine with glorious luster.
Graciously share them with someone else,
And feel the joy two happy hearts can muster.
Reference Psalm 41
Give, and it shall be given unto you;
Good measure, pressed down, and shaken together,
And RUNNING OVER,
Shall men give into your bosom.
For with the same measure that ye mete withal
It shall be measured to you again.
Those who seek their own desire, miss out on true wisdom.
It’s amazing how easy it is to travel life’s journey, when Christ is leading the way.
